("Career Pathways Night Presentation ") - photo courtesy of Liz Monetza The Verizon Foundation and the Lynn Margarit Foundation co-sponsored "Career Pathways Night" at a Muskegon Fury hockey game at the L.C. Walker Arena on November 17, 2004. Over 2000 students and their family members from Muskegon High School and Muskegon Heights High School participated in this event of career exploration and fun. There were displays from local colleges, several businesses, and local hospitals showing different career opportunities and options. Several students were selected to job-shadow employees of the Muskegon Fury and the L.C. Walker Arena prior and during the game against the Fort Wayne Komets. A senior communication/career reading and writing class at Muskegon High School produced a special program for the game in cooperation with Graphics House Publishing.
